This past week has been a series of ups and downs I have to be honest I was wishing that the holidays would speed on by. Originally when thinking about where I would be in this process and Christmas time I wanted to be whisked away and hold none of our traditions. That changed last night when we were lucky enough to gather for dinner; 14 of us all, from adults to a six year old, really good friends, a history together and a magical, comforting, loving evening. Sitting all together at one table all ages and sharing stories upon stories and lots of laughs had to be the best medicine anyone could ask for. The food, the company the whole spirit of the evening kicked off our holiday in such a way that I want to savor every moment this year. We look forward to hosting another lot of friends and family on Christmas Eve and New Years!
Last night I was reminded of the power of love, friendship and our own human spirit. We need to nurture and cherish when it feels right and this holiday everything does feels right and in it's place. I look forward to keeping all our traditions this year and seeing them with new eyes.
