Me and my body guard

Stiles, my 16 year old son was so nice to accompany me to my third chemo loungapoolza. Except I don't know if he really knew what he was in for. I had tried my best to give him a visual heads up on what it is was like in there. After we met with the doctor, "my body guard" and I were escorted to the "cocktail lounge" as I like to call it. As I am trying to pick out my chair Stiles seemed to be leaning on me strangely but he really was in the process of fainting and fell across the chairs. I tried to catch him which he doesn't believe. He was in the right place and came to quickly with my doctor and nurses all around him. He is fine but we both ended up in lounge chairs for a while! None of us will forget this session! : )

  1. Awww... Still makes a good body guard, though, I would think. Love to you all. Amy W and family

  2. Stiles does look a little pale. His feet should be elevated!
Lynn, somehow you look relaxed as if you are in a cocktail lounge- altho the staff should dim the lights a bit to create a softer ambiance.

  4. That's actually very funny. I too fainted (almost) during the birth of Brooks as they were planning an emergency C-section and lots of sharp instruments were wheeled into the room. Got it from my dad who fainted when he would take me into get my blood drawn as a kid. Let Stiles know he's not alone in this world of whimpy men.

    1. Stiles got it from his Dad too! Curt fainted a few years ago while Stiles was having a nasal procedure so I was familiar with what was happening and not to worried. When Stiles came to the other day the first thing I said was "Now there is no more making fun of your Dad" and he smiled.

      PS I love whimpy men!

  5. Stiles is a trooper! It is a tough place for anyone to be! Love the picture, though, and I am glad that you had such good company!
